Method

  1. Combine gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a shaker.
  2. Fill with ice and shake for 8 to 10 seconds.
  3. Strain into a chilled flute.

Pro tip

Shake the gin base shorter than a normal sour. Over-shaken citrus dilutes too much, and the Champagne will dilute it further when you top it.
