Gold Rush
The Gold Rush is a shaken bourbon sour of bourbon, fresh lemon juice, and honey syrup, served over a large ice cube in a rocks glass with a lemon peel. It was created by T.J. Siegal at Milk & Honey in New York around 2000 and is the bourbon sibling of the Bee's Knees. Use honey syrup, not raw honey, since raw honey will not incorporate cleanly even with a hard shake.
Ingredients
- 2 oz bourbon
- 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
- 0.75 oz honey syrup
