Singapore Sling
The Singapore Sling is a shaken long cocktail of London dry gin, Cherry Heering, Bénédictine, Cointreau, grenadine, fresh pineapple juice, fresh lime juice, and Angostura bitters, topped with soda and served in a hurricane glass. It was created by Ngiam Tong Boon at the Raffles Hotel Long Bar in Singapore around 1915. The drink reads coral-pink and tropical, but the layered liqueurs give it more structure than a simple fruit punch.

Pro tip
Use Cherry Heering specifically; lesser cherry brandies skew syrupy and miss the bitter-almond pit note that anchors the drink.
